For more than 15 years, Kurt Van Meerbeeck has been working as a database consultant for AXI BV/NV, a long time Oracle partner in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Before that he was a software engineer working on cross compilers and Java/Corba technology.
Kurt Van Meerbeeck is specialized in Oracle backup and recovery internals.
He has strong interests in identity and access management, cryptography and linux based network devices like reverse proxies and loadbalancers.

He also has a small business called ORA600 bvba for which he provides Oracle data recovery services in co-operation with Miracle AS, Evdbt.com, NRG Consulting, Pythian and HBTec.
He is the author of DUDE - a data unloader that can extract data from a database while being down and/or corrupted.
